The second annual Circular Economy Conference organized by Chatham House takes place on February 24-25, 2021.  

The conference follows the publication by Chatham House of circulareconomy.earth, a portal which aggregate trade and policy information aiming to assist research and policy discussions around circular economy at a global level. 

The 2021 conference will discuss the following topics:

  • Can an inclusive circular economy reconcile the tension between economic growth and sustainability?
  • Does a circular economy transition mean less or more global trade?

It also discusses how to make circular economy finance work for global development. The conference includes sessions in friendly debate style, with speakers including representatives from the World Trade Organization, African Development Bank, UNCTAD, Intesa Sanpaolo and Oxfam, and a keynote address from Inge Andersen, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme.

Mr. Henrique Pacini of UNCTAD will join discussions as part of the panel on Circular Economy and Trade.
