UNCTAD is launching a technical assistance project to strengthen competition and consumer protection policies in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The project aims to develop and consolidate institutional and regulatory arrangements to promote competition and consumer protection in the DRC.
To achieve this objective, UNCTAD will collect data from stakeholders directly involved in the design and implementation of these mechanisms, with a view to a training programme for the Competition Commission (CONAC), the conduct of sectoral studies and surveys, the dissemination of texts and the establishment of partnerships with competition authorities with proven experience, and the finalisation of texts relating to consumer protection.
