Taking into consideration the priorities included in the Vienna Programme of Action and the binding commitments included in the WTO-TFA, the Government of Paraguay, UNCTAD and the World Bank have coordinated their efforts to organize this event. Representatives from the Governments of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, as well as international experts and senior officials from several International Organizations will participate in the workshop. The objective is to maintain a constructive dialogue and discussion on the tools that the Vienna Programme of Action, the Trade Facilitation Agreement and other regional and international instruments provide in order to strengthen the current collaborative mechanisms on Transit Facilitation Procedures. Additionally, the Workshop will also serve as a platform to identify specific issues that can be used as a base for cooperation programs, both on the bilateral and regional level.
