In 2006, the Business Linkages Programme Guidelines was published. This publication outlines key features and steps of a business linkages programme to build capacity in this area and facilitate SME growth in developing countries and economies in transition. Its objective is to assist interested stakeholders to design and implement business linkages programmes as part of their efforts to enhance the SME sector for the benefit of economic development by such means as enterprise internationalization through TNC-SME business linkages.
