Event: Workshop on WTO dispute settlement procedures: Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures Technical Barriers to Trade and Agriculture

Description:

Based on the Course on Dispute Settlement in International Trade, Investment and Intellectual Property, this workshop offers a general and up-to-date review of rules of the World Trade Organization on dispute settlement procedures related to the Agreement on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures.

The workshop is intended for a target audience of:

  • Government officials
  • Academics
  • Practicing lawyers
  • Industry advisers

A certain degree of familiarity with the work and the basic rules of the WTO is desirable in order to fully profit from this workshop.

Workshop activities are spread over a period of three working days. The teaching method is interactive and participatory, based on a combination of lectures, exercises and case studies.

The selection of the participants is based upon the professional qualifications of applicants, and the relevance of the workshop to the work and the career of the applicants.
