A two-week training course on Biosafety and GMO detection will be organized jointly by the Agricultural Genetic Engineering Research Institute (AGERI) and UNCTAD´s Network of Centres of Excellence.
Twenty African scientists and researchers will be selected to attend the course in Egypt.
Candidates with the required profile -(as detailed in the announcement) should submit their application no later than 25 August 2008.
The course aims at building the capacity of African scientists and researchers by providing them with high-level practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the field of Biosafety and GMO detection.
AGERI has strong experience in research and training activities in the field of biotechnology, molecular biology and genetic engineering in Africa and the West Asia-North Africa region.
