The main energy problems facing African countries today is the lack of access to commercial energy, the access to finance for developing its own resources and managing the price volatility on international markets affecting imports and export revenues. Another related problem is the loss of value added to foreign firms executing economic activities generated in countries with a developed energy industry.
At the eighth edition of this Pan African conference our focus will be on cooperation for development of the continent´s energy industry as well as dealing with finance issues interfacing the energy development. Debates will cover all stages of the energy value chain including the downstream oil and gas industry. Our objectives are to facilitate the flow of information, know how and also share experiences that will contribute to the sustainable development of the continents energy resources.
The participants in Morocco will include key decision makers, oil majors, independents, local companies, financial institutions and experts in related industries. |
