Globalization, interdependence and development: conducting researches on the broad trends and prospects in the world economy and examining successful development experiences to help promote policies and strategies at the national and international level that are conducive to development; analyzing the causes and effects of financial crises and contributing to the debate on measures for the prevention, management and resolution of such crises; providing technical assistance for the management of external debt and suggests solutions to the debt problem of developing countries; contributing to the implementation of the United Nations New Agenda for the Development of Africa (UN-NADAF).
