UNCTAD´s Network of Centres of Excellence organizes long- and short-term training courses and seminars for scientists from developing countries, seeking to create links within the scientific community and strengthen the mobility of scientists from these countries. The training courses focus on new and emerging technologies, such as biotechnologies and ICTs.
Selected participants will have the possibility to travel to the country where the training course is taking place and receive tuition-free training, accommodation and meals for the entire duration of the training course. Selection of participants is on a competitive basis and only outstanding applicants will be chosen.
So far, participation to the training courses has been open exclusively to African scientists, but new training courses for scientists from other developing countries are planned.
The following training courses have been organized by the Network of Centres of Excellence. Researchers, engineers, university lecturers and assistant lecturers are welcome to apply.
