UNCTAD has been leading policy-oriented research and analysis in this emerging area of the creative economy. The secretariat set the basis for policy debates around the creative economy´s conceptual, institutional and policy frameworks.

UNCTAD has been playing a key role in facilitating a better understanding of the key issues underlying the emerging creative economy at national and international levels.

In fulfilling its mandate, UNCTAD contributes to advance the analytical and policy agenda regarding the creative economy.
