  3 July 2009 - Despite the global financial and economic crisis, countries continue to rely on the conclusion of international investment agreements (IIAs) as a means of promoting foreign investment and attendant benefits. UNCTAD´s most recent IIA Monitor records the agreements signed in 2008, offering details per type of agreement and per country group.
  11 June 2009 - Recent years have seen instances where human rights considerations have arisen in IIA arbitrations. UNCTAD´s most recent IIA Monitor discusses three sets of human rights related issues that have emerged in IIA arbitration awards.
  01 May 2009 – In 2008 investor-State disputes continued to increase with at least 30 new cases filed under international investment agreements. UNCTAD´s new IIA Monitor provides the most recent quantitative update on the latest developments of these cases as well as an analysis of the substantive implications of the most significant awards rendered in 2008.
  10 February - New issues have arisen that have an impact on IIA negotiations, namely the protection of strategic industries, the economic crisis and the fact that a growing number of emerging economies are becoming outward investors. These developments create both benefits and challenges for developing countries.
