The 2013 Creativity Week in Nigeria will have a High-Level opening session where interventions will be made by the Hon. Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, Chief Edem Duke for a welcome remark, followed by the Hon. Minister of Information; Mr. Labaran Maku while the Chairman House Committee on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ben Nwankwo will declare the event Open on the first day.
Mr. Guillermo Valles, Director, DITC, UNCTAD will participate at opening session by delivering a goodwill message from UNCTAD, via video, which will be followed by a presentation on Protecting Creativity: A Panacea For Intellectual Empowerment and National Integration by the Director General of Nigerian Copyright Commission. The students of Secondary Schools will give talks on the theme of this year's creativity; Creativity: A Vessel for Mind Development and Peace Building each day of the event.
