The London Metals Exchange site provides up-to-date information on zinc futures and options contracts, and general information about the zinc market.

The Shanghai Metal Exchange (SHME) is a national exchange for non-ferrous metals futures. This web site has not been up-to-date since 1999. Until this date, you can find (in excel format) zinc daily prices, a comparison of futures prices between the LME, the SHME and spot prices of the SHME over several years. This site also contains weekly reports on zinc market trends.

Metal Bulletin provides to its subscribers twice-weekly reports on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including current prices.

The World Bank provides (in html and acrobat format) commodity price data. You can find annual, quarterly, and monthly averages. The pink sheet for each month contains the data from the previous month.

The Reuters web site provides the latest commodity market news, including on prices.
It gives also a wide range on information relative to commodities.

The Department of Minerals and Energy of South Africa provides bulletins on minerals or energy on request. Samples are available on line.

The United States Geological Survey provides (in acrobat format) United States aluminium average annual prices from 1850 to 1998. The factors underlying the price developments are also concisely described.

The India Finance and Investment guide provides the physical prices from several cities in India. These prices are provided on a daily basis.

Handbook of World Mineral Trade Statistics 1994-1999 published by UNCTAD contains up-to-date and consistent data at the world, regional and country levels for the international trade of major non-fuel minerals and metals, from primary to semi-processed forms. It has been recognized by the industry as the first comprehensive publication which provides both quantities and values for these products.
