 17 July - Least Developed Countries (LDCs) need leeway to devise and implement their national development strategies and policies in order to reduce poverty and develop in a sustainable way, argues The Least Developed Countries Report 2008. As part of greater ownership, they should better manage the foreign aid they receive.
