The UNCTAD Peer Review of Competition Law and Policy for Bangladesh is an assessment by its peers of the competition law and policy, its institutional arrangements and effectiveness in competition law enforcement.
The Review was originally presented during the 20th session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Competition Law and Policy in July 2022.
The objective of this event is to discuss the findings of the peer review and inform all stakeholders that could partner with the Bangladesh Competition Commission to implement the peer review recommendations within their respective areas of jurisdiction, including other government line ministries, sector regulators, academia private sector and development partners.
Capacity building workshop
To leverage on use of resources, the event will be combined with capacity building workshop for the BCC staff members. BCC has a number of newly recruited officials who need training to gain knowledge on competition law and policy issues and case analysis.
