UNCTAD, the Ministry of Economy of Guatemala and CentraRSE are co-organizing a meeting to present the National Action Plan (NAP) for Guatemala towards developing high quality sustainability / SDG reporting by companies. This is one of the key outputs of the Development Account 11th Tranche Project titled Enabling policy frameworks for enterprise sustainability and SDG reporting in Africa and Latin America .
The presentation of the NAP will propose activities and changes to overcome the gaps in priority areas identified from previous assessment exercise and as agreed at the national workshop. It will provide an occasion for participants to discuss and exchanges views on the activities and proposed changes, with a view to improve the sustainability / SDG reporting infrastructure in Guatemala and enhance the quality of corporate reporting, including on environmental, social and corporate governance aspects. The meeting will be attended by all key institutions involved in the implementation of the SDGs, and institutions involved in financial and non-financial reporting at the national level.
A second meeting will be held on 23 July 2021 to allow for additional comments.
