Venue of the fourteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in 2016
At the consultations of the President of 17 November 2015, the Government of Kenya officially offered to host the fourteenth quadrennial conference of UNCTAD to be held in 2016. The offer was previously endorsed by the Group of 77 and China.
During the special session, members of the Trade and Development Board shall be invited to officially endorse the candidature of Kenya and, to that effect, approve a draft decision for the consideration of the General Assembly.
