Training of Trainers Workshop: Modern Port Management Course for English-speaking network in Africa and Asia

Together with Port of Cork, Dublin Port Company, Belfast Harbour Commissioners, and with the support of IrishAid, UNCTAD/TrainForTrade will organize the Training of Trainers Workshop on "Modern Port Management" in Cork, Ireland, from 22 May to 1 June 2012.
 

 

In order to foster ownership and sustainability, senior managers from port communities of the English-speaking network in Africa and Asia are recruited each year to participate in an intensive training of trainers' workshop.
Afterwards, in collaboration with UNCTAD specialists and their national port authorities, they serve as local instructors for their respective ports, thus transferring their acquired knowledge to the programme participants.

 

This years training of trainers workshop will focus on module 5 to 8: Methods and Tools of Modern Port Management, Commercial and Economic Management, Administrative and Legal Management, and finally, Technical Management and Human Resources Development.
