Understanding International Standards and Recommendations for Trade Facilitation in Gabon – UNCTAD Empowerment Programme for National Trade Facilitation Committees

​This event, organized with support of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, takes place in the framework of a EU project to support Central African countries in the implementation of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement.

The event will address Gabon National Trade Facilitation Committee members. The objectives are to:
- Deliver Module 1 of UNCTAD's Empowerment Program for the Members of the Gabon National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC);
- Present the results of the work undertaken in Module Start Up that took place in February 2017. Thus, Gabon stakeholders will comment and validate their Committee’s terms of reference. 
- Increase Gabon NTFC members' understanding on trade facilitation key concepts, benefits as well as the relation between trade facilitation and development;
- Improve Gabon NTFC members' knowledge on trade facilitation international standards and legal framework, including the World Trade Organization (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement.
