The objective of the third DWM Working Group meeting, held in Buenos Aires on 19 March 2014, was to discuss the third element of the DWM that is debt indicators.
The discussions reflected an attempt to provide indicators signalling the necessity to engage in a sovereign debt restructuring process as well as helping negotiators during this process.
Based on the background papers produced for the meeting on both the legal and economic aspects of debt indicators, a variety of questions concerning the indicators' necessity and format in the context of debt crises potentially leading to restructurings constitute the object of debates.
