The Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs (MoICT) of Kenya is organizing jointly with UNCTAD a Workshop which will provide the opportunity for public and private stakeholders to validate the findings and recommendations of the eTrade Readiness Assessment (eTready).
The next steps of the strategy development process will be presented, and the participants will have the opportunity to exchange on the proposed vision, priorities, and overall goals, supportive of the country’s strategic development goals, including those contained in the Vision 2030, the Digital Economy Blueprint, the National ICT Policy and other key policy documents.
The Kenya eT Ready and ECS development project benefits from the financial and technical support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The eTrade Readiness Assessment Programme has assisted so far 24 LDCs and 5 non-LDCs to identify and address the challenges they face for the development of e-commerce. The demand-driven Assessments aim to provide a thorough overview of the current e-commerce ecosystem in each country and recommend conducive policy measures in seven eTrade for all policy areas to advance their digital agenda.
