Capacity-building seminar related to Post-Doha negotiations on trade and environment
San José, CostaRica. 1-3 July 2002
UNCTAD in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica organised a workshop on Post-Doha trade and environment issues. Participating countries included: Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.
The objective of the meeting was to provide a platform for brainstorming and discussion among experts, trade and environment government officials, and interested stakeholders in order to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation on these issues as well as helping in the formulation of negotiating positions in light of the forthcoming WTO trade and environment negotiations.
