The course is intended to provide a platform for discussion and brainstorming, based on several inputs from within UNCTAD. We will also benefit from input from other institutions, as well as from a representative of an LDC bringing the perspective of needs and realities concerning development, women and their role as entrepreneurs.

The expected outcome of this training course is to draft a proposal for general guidelines that would provide some help to SM to identify whether a project has a link with gender, and, if so, to include this dimension in the project definition and implementation. The brainstorming session during the afternoon is intended to provide a forum for your questions, proposals and ideas. The outcome of this exchange will be put together in a rough draft to be distributed to all participants in our training and hopefully will become a helpful tool for our work in UNCTAD, after including your feedback to it and publishing it as final document.
