Workshop on UNCTAD's The Least Developed Countries Report 2021 in the context of graduation of the Comoros

07 December 2021
09:00 - 11:00 hrs. East Africa Time
Online and Moroni, Anjouan, Mohéli
, Comoros

The workshop, jointly organized by UNCTAD and the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in the Comoros, targets primarily senior officials, representatives of the private sector, civil society, journalists and researchers.

The purpose of the workshop is to present the findings of The Least Developed Countries Report 2021 and its implications for the Comoros, in order to favour policy dialogue between national policymakers and UN System officials. This is especially important in the context of the lingering impacts of the COVID-19 crisis, the country’s slow pace of development of productive capacities and the forthcoming start of the processes around the country’s graduation from the LDC category.

This event will be followed by three conference-debates with the academic and research community of the country on similar topics.
