- The fifty-fourth annual session of the Joint Advisory Group on the International Trade Centre will be held at the World Trade Organization on 25 November 2020, starting at 10 a.m. in room S1 (and with room S2 available for overflow). Both in-person attendance and remote participation using an online platform will be possible, with interpretation in three United Nations languages (English, French and Spanish).
- The Joint Advisory Group will examine the activities of the International Trade Centre and make recommendations to the Trade and Development Board of UNCTAD and the Committee on Trade and Development of the World Trade Organization. Discussions will focus on the activities of the International Trade Centre in 2019 as contained in its Annual Report 2019 and on activities and achievements during the first half of 2020. The Group will also discuss the annual evaluation synthesis report of the International Trade Centre.
- The Group will have before it the following documentation for its consideration:
- Provisional agenda for the session (ITC/AG(LIV)/277)
- Annual report on the activities of the International Trade Centre in 2019 (ITC/AG(LIV)/278)
- Governments of member States of UNCTAD and members of the World Trade Organization are invited to send representatives to this session. In-person attendance is limited to one representative per delegation. It is recommended that this representation be at the level of ambassador or senior official.
- The session is open to United Nations specialized agencies and bodies and to other intergovernmental organizations with observer status, as well as to relevant non-governmental organizations.
- Online registration, for remote and/or in-person attendance, is mandatory and should be completed by 20 November for in-person attendance and by 24 November for virtual attendance through the following link: https://www.intracen.org/itc/events/JAG/.
