OECD 18th Global Forum on Competition

​The Global Forum on Competition has gathered high-level competition officials to debate a wide range of key and emerging competition issues including the link between competition policy and other cornerstones of economic development since its establishment in 2001. Over 100 competition authorities, international organisations and invited experts worldwide participate in the Global Forum on Competition every year.

Topics to be discussed in this 18th meeting include competition under fire, competition provisions in trade agreements, merger control in dynamic markets, competition for the market and Digital Case Lab.
 
UNCTAD secretariat will contribute to the discussion by explaining competition provisions in regional trade agreements, and make a brief presentation on “the Guiding Policies and Procedures under Section F of the UN Set on Competition” as a tool for facilitating international cooperation.
