Aula Magna of the University of Valencia (La Nau)
Valencia
, Spain

The Asian Competition Forum (ACF) was formed in 2005 by a group of Asian-based competition law and economics academics who wanted to establish a broad –based regional association. The aim was to bring together academics, students, competition agency officials, private practice and in-house lawyers, economic consultants, business and consumer representatives who had a common interest in competition policy, law and economics.

UNCTAD has been regularly participating the ACF since its creation of this forum. For the 15th anniversary edition, UNCTAD was invited to participate and deliver a presentation on “Digital Cartelisation in the EU & ASEAN through algorithms” given the special focus of the ACF in 2020.

The ACF organisers decided to broaden ACF’s footprint and to forge a new relationship with a major European Law School that has a substantial focus on international trade, investment and competition law.  Consequently, the ACF partnered with the University of Valencia, Spain to co-host the next ACF Annual Conference.

Judge Christopher Vadja of the Court of Justice of the European Union will deliver the keynote speech, followed by renowned international experts addressing trade, investment and competition issues.
