Participation of UNCTAD at the 2020 Manila Forum: Towards Dynamic Competition Policy, Regulation, and Legislation in Rapidly Rising Asia

​The Manila Forum is a biennial international forum organized by the Philippine Competition Commission that serves as a platform for discussion among competition authorities, legislators, sectoral regulators, industry players and experts on competition law and policy.

The 2020 edition of the Manila Forum will focus on the interplay among regulation, legislation and competition policy, thereby introducing fresh perspectives on competition policy grounded on the experience of and realities in developing countries.
 
Upon the invitation from the host, UNCTAD will participate at the Manila Forum 2020 and will be also an occasion to launch the latest Book “Fighting Cross-Border Cartels: The Perspective of the Young and Small Competition Authorities” (Hart Publishers Oxford, UK – Jan 2020) authored by Pierre Horna, Legal Affairs Officer of the UNCTAD’s Competition and Consumer Policies Branch. The foreword of the book was provided by Dr. Arsenio Balisacan, Chairman of the Philippine Competition Commission.
