The National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) Meeting of Rwanda will be held in Kigali on 29-31 October with the technical assistance of UNCTAD and financial support of TradeMark EA. The NTFC Meeting in Rwanda will be the first national meeting under the UNCTAD Phase II project on Trade Facilitation with the leadership of the EAC Secretariat. The project is aimed at providing technical assistance to the EAC Secretariat and the EAC Partner States in trade facilitation reforms and simplification of trade procedures built upon the Trade Information Portals, all implemented by UNCTAD. The meeting will ensure strategic guidance on the implementation process of the trade facilitation policies in Rwanda as well as the implementation of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The NTFC of Rwanda is chaired by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Rwanda and co-chaired by the Rwanda Revenue Authority.
