The Seminar on Financial Consumer Protection is hosted by Mumbai Grahak Panchayat (MGP), an Indian consumer organization, which is perhaps the largest voluntary consumer organization in India and active in consumer protection and education for the last 33 years. UNCTAD will intervene as a panelist in the seminar and refer to the revised United Nations Guidelines for Consumer Protection (UNGCP) and on the importance of consumer protection in financial services.
