Norway's 2014 contribution to UNCTAD

UNCTAD has received the 2014 Norwegian contribution to UNCTAD's technical cooperation activities, following an agreement signed with Norway's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in September 2014.

The contribution of 2 million kroner, which approximates to about US$ 287,000, will be used to finance activities to be implemented in December 2014 and 2015 in the following five main areas of UNCTAD's technical cooperation work:

  1. Trade Facilitation and ASYCUDA Regional Centre in Southern and Eastern Africa

  2. Gender in Trade Policy

  3. Strengthening Result Management of UNCTAD Programme

  4. Capacity-Building for Investment for Development

  5. WTO Accession
