​Under the framework of the Academic Network in Competition Policy (ANCP) set up by the Competition Authority of Indonesia (KPPU) in 2016, UNCTAD has been invited to participate at the International Seminar entitled "Toward the Harmonization of Competition Policy in Asia-Pacific Region".  In particular, KPPU and GIZ Jakarta have invited UNCTAD to speak about "Competition Authorities in Asia Pacific Countries: Comparative Perspective."

The event will discuss several break-out discussion on issues like (i) business compliance in competition law; (ii) changes of competition analysis in digital era; (iii) competition authorities in Asia-Pacific countries: comparative perspective; and (iv) merger review from competition perspective.
The ANCP consists of academician (professors) with their competition law studies at their respective universities. Currently the network consist of more than 60 (sixties) academicians, nationwide.
In addition, UNCTAD has been invited to attend the 10th East Asia Conference on Competition Law and Policy, host by KPPU on the following day, the 7th September 2017.
