CSTD Side-Event - Advancing STI Partnerships for Sustainable Development: Experience from ASEAN

The side event is to be organized by the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office of Thailand in collaboration with UNCTAD

Objectives:

• Showcase current ASEAN cooperation on STI for sustainable development, successful STI projects in the ASEAN region and ASEAN strategy on STI cooperation both within and beyond the region.

• Share the experiences of ASEAN partners such as China and UNCTAD in strengthening STI cooperation in support of achieving SDGs.

• Promote South-South cooperation on STI through regional cooperation and multilateral organizations.

• Illustrate how other regions, states or international organizations can take part in this endeavor.
